Hydronic Heating

Hydronic Underfloor Heating

Hydronic Underfloor Heating is a series of continuous loops that circulates warm water through beneath the floor. The result of this a large radiant surface is created. The floor area where Hydronic Underfloor Heating is installed becomes the heat source for your home from the floor upwards. Hydronic Underfloor Heating is ideal heating solution for larger areas.   Hydronic Underfloor Heating only requires low water temperatures so its ideal for most condensing boilers and other heat sources.

In-Slab Heating

This is the most common process in Australia. In -Slab Heating is where the pipes that carry the heated water are laid before the structural slab is poured.

The pipes are generally laid 200mm apart (depending on heat source) in various  patterns to and from the manifold in 100m lengths.

The heated pipes are tied directly to the reinforcement steel and then the slab is poured directly over the top the pipe.

When in operation the pipe work heats up transferring its heat into the concrete slab.

Great option for new-builds.

Used for both residential and commercial properties, installed in new builds or retrofitting old buildings.

We recommend to lay insulation down first to get the most effect for this method of installation which will help retain the heat for longer.

Check out 37mm  insulated pipe position boards.

A sand and cement screed is then poured over Underfloor Heating pipework . Screed thickness has yo bar a minimum of 50mm

Any type of floor covering can be installed on top of the screed underfloor heating .

Tile or polished concrete floors are the  popular floor finish for this install.
